Today I received huge motivation to stick with my university studies after a lady at work sent her coffee back three fucking times because it wasn't good enough for her.

I hate customers.

That was a jolly dinner ..

I hated that from my mother and my auntie and a few other people when I started to think for myself when I was about 14 or so. I don't understand why other people give a shit about what I do or don't believe in.

I hear ya! There some serious *******s out there in the world of customerland...

I once had a guy slam his plastic basket on the ground because our deli was out of coleslaw... then some woman went troppo on us bedcause she had to wait five minutes for fried chicken, screaming at my co worker that he was insincere in his apologies... seriously, what motivates this sorta behaviour... I'll never understand...

Okay GI Joe was ridiclously cheesy and cliche. A kid's first action film, if you will, a lot like Transformers. However, it was also tons of fun, nonstop action. It held my attention, so it was worth the watch. 6/10

Public Enemies was FANTASTIC. It felt like an old James Cagney film, but re-done for this day and age. I loved it. Great acting, directing, great story. Definitely one of the best films I've seen in a long time. 9/10

Thanks for the run-down, Alfred.
I will be paying for neither.

Not cool unless we hear about it on the news.

First day back to my job as a special ed aide... kinda chaotic in places, but much good work done...

Working at the Deli sucked, of course, naturally, and I am tired as hell after a 13 hour day, but, hey I feel pretty great otherwise... much was accomplished today! Gotta gwt some shut eye real soon though, another long one to tackle tomorrow!

That same uncle did trap us into one. We thought we were going to Toronto to continue to Niagara Falls. We stayed in Niagara for 30 minutes, stayed in Toronto's churches for 3 days. Turns out listening to music is a sin, so the 5 day trip didn't have any music.

When we returned, I was in tears when they put a 50 cent song on the radio. A song was never that beautiful.
That week was extreme!

Astronomer 09-02-2009 01:50 AM

Today I packed the last of my belongings for my overseas adventure! Not booking a return ticket is kinda scary in a good way. I hope Asia and New Zealand have internet :D Adios!

Wow! I am jealous.

I just had a job interview that I had to walk 20 mins to on a dirt road in a industrial area... my feet hurt and I'm ready to go back to bed lol.

Hah! I remember talking to my granpa and he was saying how he had this friend who is a priest and is setting up a camp for kids. I was very young at the time, it sounded fun so I was pumped. He was very happy and then asked my parents, but my dad said no, didn't even say why. I remember crying about it and begging because I had never gone to camp and my granpa said it would be free for me, but my dad just said no. Looking back I am quite proud of my dad. :D

In the past in different jobs I have had customers fight over the last turkey on Christmas eve....which I was holding at the time, hit me at a fair speed directly in the ribs with a shopping trolley (or a "cart" to our American friends :P) and then not even stop to apologise, swear at me, hang up on me, insist I was calling them liars whenever I disagreed with them, have me on the phone trying to help her with her broadband for quite some time before I realised that a) she wasnt actually doing anything I asked her to do and b) she didn't have a problem to begin with but rather she had been staring at a screensaver for the last 2 hours.

And the customers are always right? Absolute bollocks. Kind of makes me glad I don't have a job.

NumberNineDream 09-02-2009 07:26 PM

It's a a pretty lousy day all in all.

I woke up to my friend calling me, telling me that I failed the project I worked on for 2 months, cz it seems the university doesn't know that I turned it in last june.
And just went back from the airport, saying goodbye to my brother who's gone for 9 months to Canada.

Well, it was 50% of a great day for me.... my job at the school rocked as always! I love that place! Got to my night job to be greeted with a whole list of job tasks to do, and then it was on to greet my coworkers for the night.... two incredibly nice but not particularly speedy people... so, as the night went on and I slipped further behind... working on stuff they should have been doing... I wound up staying behind, after my scheduled time to mop up..... not impressed...

But i don't have to go there tomorrow night, so YAY! Only the good job for me tomorrow!

Astronomer 09-03-2009 04:51 AM

Today I landed in New Zealand! But I have to wait for my boyfriend to get here before we can start sightseeing, so I'm staying at a friend's house and am extremely bored. Also... it is the fucking coldest place I have ever been to. Ever.

Antonio 09-03-2009 06:01 AM

I'm glad today cause this is the first time in over a week where i'm not scrambling to get my design work done. i mean, i still have work to do, but it's in smaller doses and more time (aka, 8 final drawings in 7 days instead of 18 in 2)

plus i actually got a full night of sleep :)

Freebase Dali 09-03-2009 03:40 PM

Man.. I think I should have tried to take on more than 16 credit hours this semester. I finish my assignments too quickly and pass my chapter exams and I don't have enough college stress.
It's really weirding me out.
If it doesn't start getting more difficult soon, I'm going to start thinking someone's playing a massive joke on me.

Today I took a chapter exam in Network technologies, finished it and then used the rest of the class to do a Visual Basic programming assignment that consisted of creating complete interfaces for 6 different programs plus developer instructions. Then I had Freshman Seminar and used that waste of time to start on next weeks assignments that hadn't even been formally given yet so I could make up for Labor Day.

I was out of classes by 11:50. (tues., thurs. are my short days)

These guys need to up the ante. If I can do more in a faster time, then I can get a degree in less time than normal and still have left-over gov benefits for more. This is way too slow-paced for me. Next semester I'm asking for more classes. They're wasting my time.

How the hell does anyone hold two jobs, have a family and still have time to post here?

Despite suffering from what seems like chronic dysentery (shitting through the eye of a needle whilst simultaneously vomiting into the sink...no mean feat) I managed to take the kids to the local Showcase to see 'Aliens in the Attic' this evening.
It's the boys birthday today.

Happy 9th birthday Luke. :wavey:

I put it down to the fact that I am

a) Clinically insane

b) unable to function other than at two speeds... full or no speed...

c) I need something to wind me down, this and a few good albums per night are my therapy...

d) I am incredibly highly strung... this is the not joking part... I am on medication for my nerves and it has helped me immensely, I will admit...

e) Daycare costs way more than we could afford if my wife and I both worked... we tried that and actually LOST money on a week to week basis...

Plus this is just kinda fun and cool to do, I've always enjoyed music forums!

The Music Mag 09-04-2009 05:57 AM

FETCHER. 09-04-2009 11:05 AM

its just after 6pm, i dunno what im doing tonight, & its a friday night :(, better hurry up & decide.
i had been given reponsibility or my brothers girlfriends necklace, a few weekends ago. im a very clumsy, forgetfull person (when im sober) so imagine me in my drunken state.
now i dunno where the fuck her necklace is, & to make it even worse, she got it as a leaving present from her work.
im really fucked now.
:( help.

Barnard17 09-04-2009 11:20 AM

Have you looked on your neck? Failing that, ouch. That pretty much sucks. Why were you "given responsibility" for a necklace, you were baby sitting it? :P or do you mean you borrowed it and have now lost it ...

lmao, indeed i have looked on my neck :(. needless to say, it isnt there.
because we were at the pub, necklace was annoying or something i cant clearly remember. but i was given it, as the owner never had a bag. n now i have lost it in my travels from the pub to my house :(

Barnard17 09-04-2009 11:45 AM

There's only one way out: deny EVERYTHING. You don't have it, you never had it, you were never entrusted with it. Must've been someone else, they were plainly very drunk and couldn't see straight and isn't their memory of that night patchy anyway?! It's a positive outrage that you're being labelled for a mistake that you had nothing to do with.

Does your bag have a hole in the lining?

no can do. no hole in the lining, il have to buy her a new one :(.

i also havent straightend my hair yet.. i went down the stairs to get my house fone, my brother & all his pals are in, they all just looked at me like  :(
would think he seen a ghost :|

That's disgusting!

Although saying that I tend to prefer girls who don't worry quite so much about their image. Unstraightened hair=/=an issue. Unless their hair is really thick and scraggly.

I worked my ass off today working in a elementary school.

we replaced the remaining ceiling tiles we had left and put in 8 ceiling hatches. another hard day of work. im exhausted.

Ill be relaxing then heading to our local junior hockey teams game.

NumberNineDream 09-04-2009 03:18 PM

went to my university to see what i happened to my project that still wasn't graded ... seemed they lost it. so I had to go search their offices myself .... and FOUND IT. the grades were given 4 months ago, I should wait still.

Later, at night, sitting on the beach, drinking beer with my friends, we noticed we lost the car keys in the sand somewhere. searching for it seemed like one of those stupid tasks on a TV game show. we FOUND IT also luckily. that was some intense 20 minutes.
