I only attended an all boys school my freshman year in high school (it was either the last year it was unisex or very close to the last) and yes there were female teachers

(with the caveat that it was a long long time ago, the early 1970's)

We had one or two. I don't think the segregation makes a very hospitable work environment though. Those teen boys get pretty feral.

I went to an all boys school run by Christian brothers and we had plenty of female teachers. Most of them were slightly over the hill or just not that attractive. Although I did have one temporary teacher who was young and quite attractive and unfortunately she did get a tough time from some of the assholes in my class.

I got to meet Carmen Appice today at a drum clinic... just got back and I'm still kinda stoked about it.

I had a ****ty call today, which later made me feel like a jackass. It featured an unauthorized party (someone whose name was not on the account) and an ostensibly authorized party. I was on speakerphone with them. Without verifying an authorized party or account holder, I cannot continue a call on speakerphone for security purposes; I have to verify SOMEONE, then get their permission to continue the call that way; I tried numerous times to do so.

I warned the unauthorized person that if I couldn't speak with and verify the account holder, I couldn't continue the call. She chose to be a bitch instead, all, "I'll tell YOU what's gonna happen."

After some time of this, I finally disconnected the call, told them that I could not continue a hands-free call (exact terminology I used) after innumerable warnings.

About twenty minutes later, a half dozen people crowded around my desk, all laughing. I got off my call, and they were like, "You know that call you disconnected for being hands-free without verification?"

I was all, "Yeah?" because that's not a horribly common occurrence.

"Well, they called back. Turns out the account holder has no hands. Literally."

I remember there being three. One who was old and butt ugly, and a complete bitch to boot. One who was probably good looking about ten years ago. There was another who was about a seven in normal life, but as far as we were concerned she was a nine. I don't remember anybody ever giving her a hard time though.

...but if they didn't tell you that they don't have hands after twenty minutes of this, then they are a moron and you were in the right. Just cause someone doesn't have hands doesn't give them the a pass for being a jackass.

Was in my favorite coffee shop earlier reading a local indie newspaper and drinking cappuccino and felt like I was drowning in peaceful joy. It was bubbling up from below like a spiritual hot tub. It's been a good day.
