Also exciting, I'm going to Florida tomorrow! Well, technically, not til' Saturday, I'm stopping in Alabama for the night and will see some relatives... but hey, Florida! Beach! Right on!
What part of Florida?

It's pretty cool as I wanted to be an astronomer when I was a child.

Me too! My dad is a scientist but he dabbles in astronomy, I spent most of my childhood chasing comets and other astronomical phenomena, which is why I grew up in multiple parts of Australia and New Zealand If you Google his name it comes up with a whole bunch of photos of comets and meteor showers and the likes that he is famous for, but I'd rather not disclose my surname... Especially since he's smuggled me bits of meteorite from space to keep...

I got dangerously close to convincing my boyfriends dad to get an alpaca. He sobered up, but promised he'd look into it.

Don't cut him any slack. Any possible downside or monetary problems or whatever will be made up for by the fact that your boyfriend's dad just bought a ****ing alpaca.
