This is tearing me up.
Stop by to see him. Put some money on his books so he can make calls. I know hes probably outworn his welcome but hes your brother and I know how protective you're about him. Going to see him there should humble him very much. I remember when my friend Dave got his fourth DUI, I swore I'd never go see him in jail again. But remember hes gonna need visits from people to keep his sanity.

The weather as weather goes in Cali was insane this weekend. We hit the Wedge in Newport Beach and the waves were 20 plus feet the entire day on Saturday. I lasted about one hour and then got the worst sno-cone headache of my entire life. On Sunday we went to a buddies and helped him shovel mud out of his backyard and house. The mudslides were insane this year. We literally shoveled about 50 wheel barrels full of mud. My other friend Jeff had excess sandbags so we set those up for next time as the rain has passed.

Want some snow? I've been shoveling that **** for weeks.

I've got a friend that lives 40 ft from the Kankakee river, and will be living UNDER the Kankakee river after all this snow melts. I don't think sand bags are gonna help this guy. It's been a crazy winter this year.

I certainly feel for all the people in the path of mother nature. And of course not, thats why we moved from Michigan. I haven't shoveled snow in about twenty years. While this rain was welcomed for the drought it always causes major run off that destroys peoples homes. I don't wish it upon anybody which is why I agreed to shovel mud in the rain for four hours on a Sunday.

Ugh. We've already had problems with flash flooding from a major spike in temperatures a couple of weeks ago, because the sewers are clogged up with snow and ice. And then that crap all froze over and we got more snow. It's never ending. I'm expecting that once everything starts melting off, the Don River will rise up like no tomorrow and flood the adjacent highway like it did last year.

Oh well. At least the farm crops will be of superb quality this year.

I've been to Cali twice. Once when I was really young, and once when I was 19. I don't remember any precipitation or change in temperature the whole time I was there. Why the hell did I leave?

Shoveling mud in the rain for four hours on a Sunday had to at least merit a few beers as compensation. That would suck.

Nah it was BYOB, and a very good friend of mine. People being grateful is always good enough for me. I love Cali, some people complain about the speed of things here and the weather pattern never changing. I'm a beach guy and good weather guy now.

I have been in -21 wind chill in Antartica and that was during summer.
