work was insane but now I'm good to go with some liquor and great tunes.

I'm just alright.

Got a call that my new glasses came in... probably gonna camwhore those when I pick them up in a few days. I've been wearing these terribly nerdy awful old lady things that I hated the instant I picked them up, but didn't feel like bitching so just dealt with them for two years.

These new ones will be a return to the thick black rectangle frames that suit me. I look cool in glasses. Not sexy, just cool, especially when I'm doing something cool.

FFS. Exhausting work day. No prep work done yesterday, got in late so I'm already behin and working solo. Then, just all ****ing day people ordered **** I didn't prep. And it was hella ****ing busy. AND some ******* mother****er had the gall to cut cement (????) right across the street, for seven. Straight. Hours. You could hear that **** three blocks any direction. I had to be yelled at and yell to communicate with customers. Seriously, that **** makes Merzbow sound like the beach boys. IT WAs SO ****ING LOUD. My ears are numb and ringing. I'm too tired to even **** myself up tonight :(

Sorry your day was horrible, WD. I'll tell you what I always tell the young, twisted, and suicidal: don't drink when you're sad.

It's my day off today and tomorrow.

I went to Ikea and bought some glassware, extra silverware, and a neat pitcher for water (suck it, Brita, nobody's got $25 for your shit) all for under $20.

I should really call my mom because I was a little intoxicated last night and she was fast asleep by the time I actually had time.

Fabulous weather.

It's Ki's birthday soon and I need to figure out what to spoil him with.

Yeah, that about sums my day up. Super relaxing. Windows open, groovy tunes on.

That is so true. I could have got ****ed up on Saturday night but didn't feel that great mood wise so decided not to bother. There's always next time. I find alcohol makes me feel depressed the day after drinking. Does anyone else feel that?

That's exactly why I never drink when I'm tired, anxious, sad, or any other unpleasant emotion. Because when you're down, alcohol makes it worse. When you're in a pretty good mood and had a great day, alcohol helps you wind down so you can groove on that good mood.

I read somewhere that it's a proven fact that people who feel guilty about their drinking habits are more likely to have severe hangovers than people who have control over their consumption of alcohol.

On an unrelated note, I posted before this happened:

A little girl and her mother saw me today and her mom said "look, that lady has pretty mermaid hair!" which delighted me, and her daughter (maybe 3 years old) started off toward me going "mermaid! mermaid!"

It was precious.

Took the day off of work so I can go see my Dad. He's finally not sedated to the point where I wouldn't be able to talk to him, so I'm heading out. It's a few hours each way but I don't care, I've been waiting for this chance for 2 weeks.
