I have moved into my new place. It's been a huge task and I have still lots more to put away but at least I have everything out of the lounge like boxes etc. I had to wash all my clothes because of the last room making them smell moldy. Now they are fresh and the room is sunny and dry.

Having joined a gym a few days ago I had my induction and first session today. Was pretty fun. Kind of just hop around everything for a bit. I think I'll end up being quite the regular.

The lyrics to that song "Blinded By the Light" have bothered me for years. It always sounded like the dude was singing, "Blinded by the light! Wrapped up like a douche, another runner in the night!", but I was sure this couldn't be so. Yet no matter how many times I heard that song, no matter how closely I listened, it always sounded exactly like that. Just now, for the first time ever, I was by a computer when the song occurred to me, so I was finally able to look up the lyrics. "Revved up like a deuce". How boring is that? Now I wished I'd never looked it up.

ah man. what a weird ****in day.

right so,

Bob and I hung out yesterday and caught a Swans set. Completely awesome, totally different from what I'm used to going out and seeing. Beers all day, a few shots, proper SF coffee, 10$ grilled cheese sandwiches, and some pretty damn good Mexican food. Fun times. Got home suppppppppper late pretty much sober by then. Take the dog out. 4 hours of sleep then off to work. Took me 2 hours to get there. I was furious. On the off chance the the public transportation system out here is actually on top of their game it takes 45minutes to get to work, today it took 2 hours.

Then, when I get to work... I jhave the weirdest ****ing customers all day. I had some dude, spun out on meth wearing a CYNIC tshirt scream at me "THAT'S NOT HOW YOU WHIP AN EGG YOU HAVE TO SEPARATE THE WHITES SEE LOOK IT'S ALL YELLOW. HEY **** YOU. I JUST WANTED TO HELP." Those exact words.

I was making french toast... If I still gave a **** about my job I might whip up the whites a little first but nah. It's almost the next pay period and I'm still waiting on the rest of last month's payroll.

Then. Pretty redhead lady comes in, think I've mentioned her before. Shouldn't call her that- her name is Laura. AHMAHGASH it was hella awkward. Alas. She has a boyfriend. Tutt tutt. BUT SHE'S STILL ALL FLIRTYLIKE. Agh. Honestly! It felt a little cruel.

AND THE TRAIN RIDE HOME.

There was a dude that looked exactly like Billy Bob Thorton. A dude that looked like Bob Mould. And a dude that looked like whatshisface-theguyfromlordoftheringswhoplayedFrodo?

Yeah... it was weird.
