Your life seems to revolve around work--or at least your thoughts do. That's sad.

A lot of my time is spent at work, and a lot of my mental energy is focused on work. And when i'm not at work, my anxiety makes me think about the things I didn't do at work that I could have done better.

Do you have a 5 year plan? Or goals for future employment? I struggle big time with anxiety too. The only thing that helps me is either having a goal to reach (which causes anxiety) and focusing on each day at a time. You need to make sure you are unwinding and doing something that makes you happy after work.

I tried to do a future plan sort of deal, I tried going to school, and it just didn't work out. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love where i'm at. I have more than I could ever ask for. Apartment, girlfriend, a little kitten, a full time job. But unfortunately, most of my time is spent working that I hardly see any of the other things I enjoy. I do think most of why I don't really push myself stems from how I grew up. It just made me sort of sheltered and in my mind, if i'm comfortable and i'm able to live the way I live, I don't want to do more. Which in some ways really sucks.

The amount of times that my mom has said "you need to get out more and reach your full potential" is a ridiculously high amount. She's absolutely right, but I can't allow myself to do it.

^Just gotta say Chula, excellent avatar and Sig combo. A truly underrated masterpiece.

Also I'm bonding hard with my new manager, she's a gorgeous lady about 15 years older than me and I think she has a hard time making girlfriends because they're jealous. We were talking about it for awhile, and seriously, the struggle is real for pretty girls. I've found that naturally beautiful women, who couldn't look ugly without plastic surgery, are the nicest people. They constantly have to degrade themselves lest men think they want them and other women think they want their husbands. It kinda made me think about our recent self esteem discussion here on MB.

I've been there. It can be tough for me, being good looking and having a lot of male-inclined hobbies. I literally make efforts to look and act as unattractive as possible when I'm hanging with a couple and can sense some kind of jealous vibe from the girlfriend, but its hard when the guy mentions something I'm totally interested in. I can't help but get excited and talk to him more than her.

Agreed. Have you seen The Fall by him? Even more visually stunning if you can believe that!
