Kayleigh, things may seem grim to you at present, but there is always hope. You are young and have a whole lifetime ahead for boyfriends, jobs, money, etc. I'm sorry you're feeling this way today.

On the boyfriend front: you sound like my daughter (who is your age, btw), who has been upset about not having one lately. So you are not alone.

Hope better days will be coming your way soon.

Astronomer 05-27-2010 01:19 AM

Boyfriends just cause more misery, especially if they're ones who aren't worth it. Chin up Kayleigh! You still have musicbanter! :)

Bulldog 05-27-2010 08:10 AM

Got the last of my assignments handed in today, which means I'm now finished being obliged to do any work 'til September, which is pretty cool. Although saying that, I imagine I'll be ripping my hair out from boredom in a couple of weeks' time.

Sansa Stark 05-27-2010 08:20 AM

I got ANOTHER MESSAGE from Alig Fodder, from the band Family Fodder, because Hugo and I couldn't figure out the lyrics to one of his songs. He officially is the coolest, nicest musician I have ever had contact with and I am totally flipping out about it.

James 05-27-2010 08:22 AM

Mojo 05-28-2010 09:03 AM

Today i have been digging out albums from my CD collection that havent been played for a long time, including Electric Wizard, Helmet and AC/DC. I probably should have tidying or something but whatever.

And in a few hours i am going out for a family meal with quite possibly the most sinfully boring and anti social people on the face of the Earth. I hope my sister comes through with the plan to just get wasted and take over the conversation.

Lol. Good luck with that!
I'm so excited to hear all about it.

music_phantom13 05-28-2010 11:31 AM

I'm off today and Monday for Memorial Day! Which means 4 days with nothing to do :D I can finally catch up with all this music I have to listen to.

DearJenny 05-29-2010 10:18 AM

Today I'm going to a fair, gonna ride some rides, eat an "elephant ear", take a bunch of pictures, and have some fun. Tomorrow I am off to a steampunk festival to meet Mr. Terrance Zdunich, who is a wonderful illustrator, and played the role of the graverobber in Repo the Genetic Opera. Want to take a lot of pictures there as well. Then Monday with my family(boring) and a friend's family in the evening(party-boat!). I probably won't be on over the weekend so that's my "your day" in advance.

Steampunk festival sounds like a lot of fun, hope you've got your goggles.

Yeah I know, but it's not that I don't have one, it's that I did have one previously, we decided not to see each other that day :(:( hopefully i shall get some good luck eventually.

Haha I know. But I don't really have dear musicbanter anymore, my laptop died, Ive tried to stay as active as possible but it's not the same as using my own laptop and stuff :( owell!

AleG 05-29-2010 05:04 PM

I woke up at 3pm, ate, watched TV, then the Sun headed for the hills. If we had a topic called 'Your Night', my replies would be a little more vibrant.

jackhammer 05-29-2010 06:48 PM

On a good note, despite being in my new job for only 8 weeks, I have already got my worktime down to a 4 day week which means that I get Sundays completely free and actually add a few more quid into my pay packet each month :D

On a bad note, Mastodon are not playing at the Sonisphere festival I'm attending in Europe in 3 weeks time. Gutted.

Flipping it again. My Fat Freddy's Drop tickets have arrived. Hell yeah.

juliancasablankas 05-29-2010 07:31 PM

I went kayaking for about an hour.
I didn't really do much today.

Kayaking for an hour pretty much owns what I do in a single month.

What's planned for tomorrow? Going to the moon? =(

sidewinder 05-29-2010 10:46 PM

I just made a Shepherd's Pie for the first time and it's fucking awesome! I am eating a second helping right now. Of course I have eaten this before, but it's been a long time and this was the first time I made it myself.

Sansa Stark 05-30-2010 04:16 PM

I've spent the whole day in my pool, pretending I'm a mother****ing mermaid

Astronomer 05-31-2010 05:31 AM

Today I moved out of my parents house (not for the first time) with 3 of my close friends. They're all male though... and I am constantly finding myself scarily relating to Penny from Big Bang Theory...

Mojo 05-31-2010 06:39 AM

Relating to her in what way?

In that they are all incredibly geeky... it is a total boys house. There are even star wars figurines in the kitchen. I can't even count the number of gaming consoles. Or replicas of things from nerdy movies.

Mojo 05-31-2010 07:30 AM

Hehe that really does sound like a boys house.

Doesnt Penny end up sleeping with one of those geeks? Just wait, in a year or so you'll be spending your nights online discussing continuity in Science Fiction films and buying life-size Stormtroopers.

TheCunningStunt 05-31-2010 07:43 AM

Went to Tesco, bought 2 DVDs and did a spot of shopping. Spag Bol for tea.

Oh god I hope not... on both accounts!

Farfisa 05-31-2010 11:55 AM

Bah, when I get a chick to move in with me I want records and instruments scattered around the house.

James 05-31-2010 12:58 PM

*Sighs*
Today rounds in about no. 8 in the 10 worst days of my life.......
Me and my friends had organised a cycle trip to Kilsyth and were meeting at Gordon's(one of the friends) house. Me and Allan(Another one) stay close to each other so he came in for me and we went up for Smouty(another). So we went to Gordon's and made our way to Stewart's (He knew the way). On the way Chris(another) was ran over, it was rather stressful but he's okay now. So while he was taken to hospital me and the others went. Stewart wasn't in so we decided to mess about in condorrat. We sat by the luggie and spoke about dogs and geese and T in the park when we are 16, it was actually quite pleasant. Then we went to the rugby fields and (attempted) to play Blue Murder but Allan's bike was stolen by some neds. We chased them and got it back. But it sucked nonetheless. Then Gordon proposed a game of Bulldog and they all made me go het. It pisses me off that they always do this, Just because they know I wont do anything. So I played and caught Gordon fair and square. He protested and I got pissed and refused so he said "fine I'll go het and you run". He made a feable attempt at a tackle and I got passed the line. He still preceded to tackle me, even though I made it. So we have a huge argument he threatens to beat me up multiple times and then told me to leave. So me now crying(I hate my wimpiness) heads home on my bike, Allan and Smouty come with me but there is a large amount of awkward silence. So yes basically all my friends hate me.

Goddamit I'm jealous. I hear my friends/family in Texas talking about the same thing this 3-day weekend meanwhile I'm bored out of my mind alone for 3 days with pretty miserable weather. Feels like fucking fall again, but not as cold.

Barnard17 05-31-2010 02:06 PM

I've been reading the wrong mermaid books.

As if my house wouldn't have instruments scattered everywhere. We've got a drumkit and some guitars scattered in the lounge room. But the rest of our instruments are in our bedrooms. And a cymbal on the wall as you walk in the door.

Nasty hot indeed, but at least they get to chill by the pool and drink good margaritas.

I'm happy to report my day has turned around, it's now mostly sunny and about 65 degrees. I'm going to ride my bike to the park/water! :thumb:

It is dreadfully hot in TX right now. And it's only May. God help us come August.

DearJenny 05-31-2010 08:01 PM

My whole weekend was a blast. Steampunk festival. Met Terrance Zdunich, illustrator and writer genius. Also met Abney Park, bought their new CD, and they signed it for me. Met some interesting people, most notable being a gentleman in a top hat that smoked me down in the parking lot and bought me and my friend a few drinks. He looked like Iggy Pop, it was great.

sidewinder 05-31-2010 08:01 PM

Was up at 4am for Alton towers, had a pit stop on the motorway and spent my 45min break being sick... yyyyeeeahhhhhh :thumb:
