Actually considering making the switch back to Google as my primary search engine. I'd keep the more private alternatives on standby for more discreet search activities like the purchase of truckloads of cocaine or midget porn staring Shaq, but honestly Google's productive harnessing of big data is widely unmatched.
In my mind, the benefits of consumer behavior profiling are beginning to outweigh those of privacy (in the case of general web queries). Still, I plan to read another of Siva Vaidhyanathan's books - The Googlization of Everything, which may challenge this notion. This may be peanuts to you, but for myself it is of tremendous significance.
