pretty sure you don't have to pay just to go into the changerooms. at least, you don't have to here.

Same tbh. The council run leisure centres are free here as long as you have a card. I've got one but I lost it.

Swimming pool, showers, gym inc. weights are all free.

We don't have anything like that here in America. At least where I live, most we've got is the YMCA, and I'm pretty sure you have to be a member just to get past the front desk. Or at least that's how I remember from years ago.

I suppose that's *technically* true here as well, but we could easily walk by the desk and to the changerooms. and they don't patrol the showers looking for people who didn't pay.
