FNM is huge. Many top pros on the ProTour are Japs.

I just opened the nearest deck box and pulled out these beauties:

Just wondering...why do Magic nerds get called "nerds" by nerds?

I haven't played Magic since the 90s. I hear it is a completely different game now and would be alien to me if I tried to get back into it.

I think it has something to do with the size of what you're collecting. Comic collectors are near the top, toy collectors usually below them, and then there's you, sitting right above people who actually buy and paint Warhammer figurines.

I don't think that's the only criterion, but it is an important one.

Plus the market for comic books and toys extends to children and not just nerds.

Never once seen a kid at the local comic shop. I think comic book movies have removed the need for kids to actually read comics.
