you don't have to be religious to hate gay people

i know atheists who hate gay people because they think its 'unnatural' i think my family is more worried about what people will think than they are about me 'going to hell' to be honest with u

also once a day feels like too much still

True. Although I can't think of any atheists who I've heard say that, but the world is a strange place. But it still sounds more like toxic influences on your mind regarding sex and masturbation (from whatever source) than anything you should feel ashamed about. It's just masturbation. It and porn can be desensitizing, but once a day is hardly a problem.

I'd honestly be more worried about you maintaining this mentality of shame about masturbation, as it sounds like it's contributing to feelings of low self-esteem and an unhealthy attitude towards sex that could get worse and more self-destructive over time.
