And I would also like to say that the first LP from Physical Graffiti is pretty much the relatively pure rock/metal album I always wanted from Led Zeppelin, and therefore the best thing they ever did. Even the blues flirtations are far better realized than on Led Zeppelin I. Probably, it's been awhile since I've listened to the album in full.

I've watched that scores of times and it never fails to move me mightily. Awesome.

The Rover alone justifies this post.

One of the coolest song justified solos ever recorded. John Paul Jones kills on this.

Bonham is just a given.

Just jumping in to say the best LZ song is "Your Time Is Gonna Come."

We ended up at our usual dive bar yesterday and suddenly this 18 year old chick was sitting at our table. After 20 minutes she flat out told us, that she thought it'd be cool hanging out with us but it turned out to be just depressing and went home. Not sure what exactly she was referring to, but that totally made our day.

That'll show those kids with their hopes and dreams to interfere with a bunch of old cynics trying to drown themselves.

Somehow I managed to spend over 100 euros last night on beer. Sure I did buy a few rounds, but this still seems strange.
