When you finally stop thinking about somebody you've been trying to forget, and then you dream about them and you wake up thinking about them all day. Dreams are being bull**** right now.

The trick is to dream about someone you want to dream about.

GOOD NEWS! The divorce was approved by the County Clerk! I bussed downtown to pick up the judgment - I have to have a copy notarized and have my friend deliver my ex-wife a copy. But both clerks in that department left early so when I got there the only person in the office was a security guard and he couldn't hand it to me. So I'll have to wait another week and try again. (Seriously.)

It's a shame that I have to sit another week because the entire staff decided to take off early, but hey - they granted the verdict on the first go round without any hassle and rendered the judgment in just 7 days. I am NOT going to complain.

The timetable is that she'll have all her things out of the house by the end of the month. My plan is to go downtown next Tuesday (my next day off). I got a direct number to call first to verify that someone will be there. Notarizing and serving will be quick and painless - all the hard work is done. And there is no waiting period in NY, so the judgment and the divorce is official. But the real marker of finality will be when she has moved out of my house.
