I wouldn't say that the plot points in question (I'm sure you know what I'm referring to) tarnish the film.
Spoiler for .:
I have to say, it did take off. I enjoyed it a lot from her escape onward And yeah the hand thing was pretty ****ing solid

I’m actually not sure what plot parts - the moonlight death monster dude?

I thought the dialog with her husband was pretty dull

Mostly the swift exposition at the end with the letter. It's a cheap literary device and it's just so jarring in contrast to how well-handled the rest of the film is. Plus, a lot of the closing dialogue is straight up terrible. The bone guy added a really awesome layer to it, but a lot of the ending feels poorly slapped together to tie up loose ends. I think that Flanagan could have written another act that told the same story in a less corny way.

Also from what I hear, the traumatic event is a lot more graphic and violent in the novel.

Did you watch that **** yet, Batlord?

Whatever gore **** you're talking about it's just a great movie with a great concept that I really have no good reason for not finishing. I just haven't due to laziness. But it's just so good regardless of whatever ****ed up scene I'm missing.

So, like, if you're an industrial fan and you don't know who Throbbing Gristle is does that make you a culture vulture? Or is 'culture vulture' just a pretentious term used by people trying to justify their elitism with in their culture?

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

If you don't know who Throbbing Gristle is, you're probably an "Industrial" fan rather than an Industrial fan.
