That's an industry I've been in for 7 years. I'm trying to get out of it and into something more worth while. Ideally with that job, 9. The traffic on the interstate everyday on the rides back are just Hellish too.

I also know the city chairmen of music. I was a student of his in my early college years. I'm considering talking to him about career opportunities. If not performing than working live audio and theater work.

It's just that when I get out of this job currently, I'm exhausted. It's labor intensive, and I have a tendency to push myself a bit too hard. I'm going on tour for most of June, so it'd be difficult to make the adjustment before that, and quite unlikely.

Are you saving up to go on tour?

I’ve never wanted (and thankfully needed) anything bad enough to work more than 40 hours a week for it. It seems to me even if I made a million dollars a year, if I worked 50 plus hours a week with just a couple weeks vacation I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it so what’s the point.

They’re more addictive than crack.

I'm so excited thinking about all the things I want to buy that I'll have to force myself not to. Nah for real though I'm responsible with my money.

So was I many moons ago...

I never was. I ended up with large bills for five credit cards, plus eternally "topped-up" loans that in the end ran to something like 25K. I was so happy the day I paid off the last one. Never again. Not that anyone would give me a credit card or loan these days, but if I was offered I'd refuse. Not going through all that again!

You know the advice: only buy what you can afford to pay back next month? Yeah, totally ignored that and went on such a spending spree. God help me.

It’s real easy to do. In Florida the go to move is bankruptcy. They have to leave you with 4 grand worth of ****.

Anyway, it’s raining here which isn’t at all unusual but usually the rain is at least tepid but the rain today is thick and super cold (by our standards). When I took my dog out it felt like if you were soaked in it for a few hours you could get hypothermia. This city has a few churches that serve as emergency shelters when the temperature drops but I don’t think they’re open. I hope the homeless aren’t freezing out there. I didn’t see any when I was walking my dog. There’s an abandoned ship yard and I think three (two I know for sure) shantytowns in the woods with tents and tarps. I guess that’s where they’re at.
