Finally have a regular day job again. (Still broke, however.) Job ends June 30th. I hope I'll be able to move out of Louisiana by Halloween, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm not adjusting to my new schedule very well; I have to get up extra extra early to ensure I can get to work some way or another. This requires five alarms + two phone calls from friends to make sure I'm awake. (.. and yet, of course, I have no problem waking up at 4 am for no reason if it's the weekend or something.)
Also, I now own a wonderful unfinished painting of an eyeless 1960s actress (my best friend never finished it--he couldn't get the eyes right, he said-- so he let me have it.) |
Congrats on the job even if it’s miserable

I guess I can't sympathize since i have a job that I love and love going to it every day. I'm obviously in the minority so I'm speaking highly of myself.

Congratulations on joining/re-joining the rat race. As for me, well I have a long commute to work every day: those stairs get harder to get down every morning. Still, at least the traffic is light. As Douglas Adams once pointed out, the hours are good, though most of the minutes are pretty awful. ;) |
