Agreed with both here. And yeah, Bat I know when I go over the line. In the context of what my family usually jokes about, my mom knows damn well that I wasn't out of line at all.

I figured just going in my own room for a while was the smart thing. Plus I'm tired so I just wanna relax.

I disagree with all this. If you have that relationship with your mother it's nobody's business, and she should have said to her needle-nosed friend, "Ah no it's ok we do this all the time." That would have taken the wind out of nosey's sails and left her nowhere to go but fume quietly. By "supporting" her, your mother dissed you and let you down, making it seem as if this was NOT something that you usually did, and that she too was shocked.

tl;dr: your mother's a pussy for not standing up for you.

Also, **** society: you were on your turf. **** them. If they don't like it let them get the **** out. If you mother thought this was going to be a problem with certain friends there were two things she could have done:
1) Warn them that this might happen and not to take offence
2) Ask you in advance not to do it.
She did neither and just folded when she should have supported you.

Don't fall for the R.I.P. ammo or the stuff where the petals fall off creating separate wound channels. You want ONE BIG HOLE, not a bunch of little ones. You may as well be peppering them with birdshot if your bullet is gonna fragment into a dozen pieces.
