I mean every bet you lose is stupid by definition but this was a decently researched respectable payout bet

I lost but it well I can’t defend a loss but I spotted an unusually good bet

Winning is like 100 times cocaine- especially playing cards in a casino - the rush when you win is incredible but the lows are just unbearable

And I’m just a moderate gambler

I mean this is it this month

In Biloxi - especially if you play all night you’ll see some heartbreaking **** between 6-8 AM

People will come in with two fives and eight ones trying to turn into enough for their daily drug habit - buy three five dollar chips 3 hands later they’re moping out with three dollars

Often they don’t know basic strategy or can’t double down on 11’s because they don’t have it (adds to the house edge considerably )

I've put about 7 hours into Monster Hunter World already. Probably going to play more tonight and tomorrow. This game is so much fun.

I have to say I’ve never understood the appeal of gambling. Just seems like a waste of money to me.

^ I've never understood the appeal of gambling either - also never understood all that glamour/macho treatment that Hollywood gives to it. Casino Royale is the best example: the stoney face, the steely look as each guy ups the ante and peeks under the corner of his next card, as if risking lots of money were the ultimate expression of manhood.

Probably to the greater good of the country, in Britain the most common forms of gambling take place in drab, unappealing betting shops like this. I think there's a whole bunch of regulations specifically designed to prevent them from looking attractive:-

At work, for possibly the first time ever I got to make a series of increasingly terrible dad jokes to a teenage girl who proclaimed me "whack" and I now realize why men have kids.

She probably considers you of dad age. After all, you're over thirty! Nearly twice her age? Imagine what she'd think about me: how did he get out of his coffin? **** young people. :)
