I guess they get so many domestic disturbance calls that unless there's a gun involved or they think they can make a drug bust they're just sick of it. Or they never cared in the first place.

Not that I'm commenting on your specific thing, but how depressing must it be to be a cop going to a domestic disturbance? 9/10 the only thing you can do is probably stop someone from getting hit until five minutes after you leave and you know it and then you've got that **** going through your head for the rest of the night, or at least until the next pointless domestic disturbance call. You got a gun and a badge and a swagger but that's a thing you can't really do anything about unless the woman wants to press charges.
