I liked Antman, so probably yes.

Would be nice to one day be able talk to a grown up friend about movies and that person doesn't just immediately start talking about the newest Star Wars/super hero flick.

Kill it with fire!

These dweebs aren't Nerds, they're animation/comic book/movie/video game FanBoys. A Nerd would know what an API is and how to tap into it and manipulate it using .NET or C++. A true Nerd would also know how to make lasers.

Friggin poseurs.

I like my friends. It's just that they're a bunch of 30 year olds with media tastes indistinguishable from those of an average 14 year old.
But that's the norm these days.

MicShazam 11-15-2018 01:42 PM

Which is why we're still friends.

MicShazam 11-15-2018 02:05 PM

the few friends I have are actually great people.

I don't always feel like I have super much in common with them in certain ways, but other things we can do together and talk about make up for that.

it's probably even preferrable in some ways to have friends that aren't the same as yourself.

music is the big one where I wish I had more people to talk to. at least my brother is very interested in music, writes music, plays instruments and has somewhat eclectic tastes.

Met a jackoff salesman from Texas whose only personality traits are that he's obnoxious and from Texas. Elphenor's poseurdom makes a bit more sense now tbh.

Frownland 11-15-2018 04:59 PM

Nah we definitely get it a lot here. I once knew a guy who was so obsessed that he would use his town as a username for logins and ****.

Frownland 11-15-2018 05:04 PM

Oh and jackoff salesman was wearing a cowboy hat to really get the point across lol

Is it bad to be from Texas? Everyone I've ever met (in real life) from Texas has been interesting, bright, and fun.
