If you're conceding that choices make a difference then it's fundamentally irrational to act as if you live in some deterministic paradigm. You're not confronting the implications of your concession.

Which doesn't change the fact that you are better off making a certain decision and not only that, in most cases you're capable of making that more difficult decision.

The vast majority of decisions people face have a very easy and hedonistic option and a hard but more productive option. In most cases people aren't necessarily addicts or anything like that. It's just that temptation is a bitch, and sin crouches at your door.

Not really. You're not necessarily talking about making choices so much as just doing things. That's perfectly congruent with a deterministic universe.
