Give me top 40 over butt rock stations tbh.

Having to hear bad music gets old fast as ****

Frownland 07-10-2019 07:52 PM

You do you but I had a job at a boat dock for a few months one summer that was like that and it drove me nuts. After a certain point, partying and doing nothing at work is just as agonizing and restrictive as waiting until you get home to party and do nothing. It was the only job where I was like, proactive and **** just to keep myself sane. If it's good for you then carry on though.

Should change my name to UnsolicitedAdviceland huh

EDIT:

That also maximizes your time so it isn’t stolen from you.
This is patently false btw.

Other people choosing the tunes is ultimately unbearable unless it was like one of you guys which is rare af

Commercial radio 40 hours a week rivals homelessness in horror

Disagree so much. Best jobs I ever had were the most idle. I once had a graveyard shift where I could even sleep. And jobs where you can read... praise be.

1. How long did you hold onto those?
2. Different strokes obviously.

Listening to your own tunes compared to not being able to is a huge difference.

Having the audio determined for me is devastating. Choosing the music is a big reclamation of my mental space. It’s ****ing invaluable.

Doesn’t mean the time is mine but it’s a damn significant

Night shift at a group home over a year. Janitor a bit less.

I understand, but if it's mindless, slow work then that appeal wears out quick for me.

Ever had a job where you can listen to what you want without the mundanity element?
