how long before they bailed you out? Did you make it past the holding cell? When they send you to a dorm with 20 other guys that have nothing better to do than ask you what you're in for and then ridicule you when they find out what it is?

I've been 5150d twice, that's two separate 72 hour holds. Get on my level, normies.

I was a ward of the state of Georgia for a while as a teen but all I had to do was show up for probation meetings and do a scared straight thing. I guess it worked since I never returned.

The inmates didn’t yell at us and **** they just talked to us in a normal voice and told us frankly how ****ed we’d be on the inside. I basically already knew but it registered clearly.

Almost makes me want to start drinking again.

I've been committed several times as a kid (not since thankfully), but my experiences have made me never want to be committed again. I remember being in a mental ward in a specific hospital twice that had staff bait kids into getting aggressive, and then multiple adults would perform a "take down" in which they would all dog pile the kid and inject the kid with a sedative.

I was upset one night in my room and threw my shoe at the gated window, and I get this angry dude aggressively kicking my door down, dragging me down the hall, and throwing me into an isolation room for the rest of the night. Every other ward I stayed at was far better than this one.
