I went in for a few hours because we were closed, so I angry baked while listening to industrial techno because no one else was there. I get so much done when you don't bother me, and let me do my job. |
That's how I lived when I was that age. Living in farm houses and communal type dwellings and such. Bon fires every night and holes in all the walls from fights and just general youthful angst and destruction. I drew the line and moved out when someone decided to start shooting cans of spray paint with a BB gun and the paint got all over my ****. More importantly, it got all over my one and only guitar I had at the time.
It didn't help that one of the guys living there got dumped and played In The Air Tonight for 72 straight hours either. Good times. |
Like, I can deal with drunk adults now and then, but not drunk bratty children that I have to babysit.
Living with too many people in general is awful. I don't think I want to live with anyone under the age of 30-35 ever again. (And women only from now on if possible.) It's seemingly impossible to find a group of people who are a.) considerate in general b.) clean up after themselves (I am SO TIRED of having to deal with roaches because everyone leaves food and crumbs everywhere) and c.) actually take care of their pets beyond the absolute bare minimum. I always end up being the one picking up the slack. |
People over 35 are are still shi tty. There's no magic age where they just switch. If you're an inconsiderate slob at 20, you're gonna be an inconsiderate slob at 40 and beyond too, you'll just have less energy. People do tend to mature and start to realize that the world doesn't revolve around them though and then they adjust. I've seen that happen to a lot of my friends, and they've gone from being complete *******s to being warm loving human beings I don't mind hanging around with.

Well, obviously, I know there's no ~magic age where people just switch. "People do tend to mature and start to realize that the world doesn't revolve around them though and then they adjust." As you said. So I'd still rather live with older people in the future so I'm a bit less likely to deal with a bunch of loud messy goblins who expect to be cleaned up after by the nearest woman.

I blame their parents.
