Got any non corny examples? I feel like it works better when a rapper goes over a rock beat then when some rockband tries to rap or fuse it into a hybrid sound.

This. Not nostalgia though cause that song bangs. They've got a handful of other tunes I like but they're a band with a good sound but underwhelming songs.

I thought commercializing Thích Quảng Đức‘s image on their album cover was a bitch move and I’ve always held a grudge against them for that.
