Didn't the duck dynasty guy just say bein gay was sin

Sequoioideae 12-22-2013 01:55 AM

I've learned to not pay any mind to **** like this, I don't have any intention give my views on this. A reality TV show star gave a bigoted statement, and got his ass kicked off a show. End of story.

I made a joke about cheese's typo, phan. You'll never find a more staunch supporter of the LGBT community than myself.

Actually the first thing I played on it was the C-major scale. :p:
I've been so fascinated by the sound, I played all songs that I played lately.
Bach's Prelude No. 2 in C minor and an accompaniment for the song 'wake me up' and 'one of us' Probably I'm going to perform those with a classmate for the A-levels.

I'm so happy with my newest instrument. :D I now can even play on Sundays or during 12:00-14:00. I usually am not allowed to play then usually 'cause of my (old) neighbors. Now I can mute the sound completely. Ta-dah - Silenzio.

It is something I have never understood how homophobia even exists? I mean, in spite of all the hunger and war and violence that is happening around us, and still some people think there's something wrong with loving someone. It makes me feel pretty angry. Not saying that I'm gay, I'm probably straight, though I'm not sure, I could be bi, but I have never really talked about it or anything and I'm a little bit afraid to even mention it even here where nobody really knows who I really am.
Actually, mostly guys, are even more homophobic than they are against all kinds of mental problems and people who suffers from them. Oh my, we have got a long way to go untill these things will be normal even here where things are relatively good.

Taxman 12-22-2013 02:34 PM

Also, talking bout my day, it was mostly pretty good cos it.just wandered around with nothing to do. Thanks for the holy God for giving us Christmas vacation...

Mr. Charlie 12-22-2013 05:31 PM

^^ I love days doing nothing. Nothing is the best thing to do.

Off to my parents tomorrow for a week of good company, good food and good cheer. Happy days.

Can really relate to this. I was influenced by my parent's homophobia so I spent around 2 years trying to prove against it. Every time I did, it was really unpleasant. It just strengthens your homosexual tendencies in the end, and that's a really great way to gain sexual confidence. You prefer guys, you prefer girls, you prefer red, you prefer blue. Not anything more to it.

Pretty admirable I say. Even though I gave up on the church long ago, this made me smile.

It's not fucking revolutionary to meet the minimal standards of a decent human being.

Flat tire on my way in to work. Then I finally get to work and spill an old coca cola all down the front of me. I'm soaked and sticky. Could this day get any better?

there's something to be said for being in a incomparable and incomprehensible position of power risking everything to declare the Vatican's support for immigration, pro-choice, homosexuals in front of the whole world.

Taxman 12-23-2013 10:20 AM

Yep.

Taxman 12-23-2013 10:25 AM

And even a little change is a change. After all, you must start somewhere and maybe step by step, inch by inch, day by day, may the catholic church realize that things cannot go on like this.
We should wait patiently. It was not long ago when they were burning witches. Though that thing does not affect me since I'm not living in catholic countries, I hope it will lead to the change. Maybe some people, it won't take long, let's hope so, will realize that there's much pain and grieving people in this world of ours, and that it does really matter whom do you love and what is his/her gender.

...maybe I'm hoping too much...

while this is true, it's not really anything special, people like to hold it up like we should be satisfied with it when pope franky totally is only in favour of only the l&g&b

nhft

on another note how am I supposed to Crimbo here when it's like 64 degrees? This isn't natural.

What I said came off as sarcastic but I meant it.

He's been doing proper Christian things that the majority of society doesn't think Christians are capable of based off of the bible and prior Popes that have been in the position to set things right but have turned a blind eye to it in favor of tradition.

yeah long run on sentence but I don't give a fuck.

i am fearing for my life right now. the ice apocalypse has made even walking without ice cleats dangerous. trees are breaking and the power is out. it's freezing rain right now, it's only getting more dangerous. but at least the snow is doing that cool thing where is has a layer of ice on top of it so you can walk on top of it without falling through!

Love it when that happens! I used to bring out my RC cars and race on top of the snow.

Yikes! This bad weather has been affecting everyone. The other day it rained in San Diego for like 20 minutes, it was nightmarish.

He is more enlightened than previous Popes. He is doing what he can that doesn't mean he can go around and cure all the problems in the world. I think you have him mistaken with Superman.

RoxyRollah 12-23-2013 01:16 PM

It requires superhuman power to accept human dignity?

No. It requires superhuman powers to be able to save people and address every little problem in the world.

Sansa Stark 12-23-2013 02:42 PM

This argument is so ridiculous like, okay you're cool with gay people?
How enlightened you are, finally accepting that people have been non-cis and non heterosexual before the papacy was even a thing? Nah. I don't accept it.

Mojo 12-23-2013 03:09 PM

I ordered a present for my sister around a week ago, the 'Letters of Note' book, for £15. Then, stupidly, I didn't check my e-mails (thinking this wasn't urgent, as it's only gonna be about delivery/delays etc and I can't make it hurry up).

So today I checked them, discovered they didn't have the stock to cover my order so cancelled it and refunded me.

So I then hit the shops, bought it for twice the price, £30, at Waterstones and battled the crowds I so desperately did not want to face this year. Mentally murdered around a dozen or so people.

awesome that you didn't have to stay so long without power. I saw some photos of the ice storm and it hit like parts of NY as well but much farther north than where I am.
