It’s from a little over two weeks ago
and I didn’t get around to watching it until last night, but 91-year-old Noam is growing his beard out and still as relevant as ever. Read or watch. Noam Chomsky on Trump’s Disastrous Coronavirus Response, Bernie Sanders & What Gives Him Hope. |
Honestly, I don’t know if I’m more worried about returning to “normal” or the virus itself. Shutting off consumerism has been so beautiful. I almost feel like there’s nothing more tragic than going back to how things were.
And frankly, that includes turning back the clock to Obama 2.0. With Trump there’s so much more hope that this whole thing will crash. Interesting what Chomsky says about nuclear war. I’ve been seeing it as a much greater threat recently myself. Ftr, I’ve been in favor of complete and total and immediate nuclear disarmament since I was a kid. When the unthinkable happens remember me. |
I’ve, for a long time, been a believer in a total population of one billion max -
a nice round figure where we can easily implement a Bucky Fuller-type global community. Not gonna happen, but an idea that seemed hopeful many decades ago. |

What has been happening (with slight modifications, of course).

We’ve been ****ing things up.
Only slight? |
I didn't say there were slight modifications related to our past.
