Your taste in literature and lack of love for shotguns aside I’d say with your personality you don’t get off on pissing people off or aggro-conflict so based on you being you I think you should just cordially say something like “I’m actually quite liberal but I think you’re a decent dude but I’d rather not talk politics at work. Maybe we can go for a beer and hash it out for fun some time.”

I was basically brainwashed to be a good little Republican from a young age. I remember "rooting" for Bush to beat Al Gore when I was ****ing 6 years old because that's what my parents and apparently all of my friends' parents were doing.

We’d have some great conversations. At the restaurant where the only thing that could cost me my job was an inability or unwillingness to cut fish I went off as fully psycho as I do on here.
