A little off topic but I'm checking out a condo tomorrow. 239k for 2 bed/2 bath. Wash/dryer in the unit, plus secure mailboxes and secure parking. HOA is 400$/mo. Covers garbage, sewer, and something else i can't remember. Right down the hill from my work.

Seeing this play out on social media for the last 15 years made me much more guarded in how I express condolences to female friends and colleagues. It's so repulsive when you see all the dudes lining up on someone's FB wall, with all the hug emojis and exclamation marks. Like, be men enough to admit to yourselves that you just wanna screw her.

It is horrible how they use tragedy to promote their own political agendas. Like Batty said, they did the same thing to Pat Tillman- on both sides actually. Hopefully, this will die down a bit and you'll be able to mourn in peace.

This is all so surreal.

I went to the beach today, and as the sand was really hot (burning my feet), I took example of my dog Loulou and I dug a little hole, in order to sit on the much cooler, wet sand.

I was minding my business when Loulou run up to me. As I was pretty proud of my hole digging, I showed it to her (in the hope that maybe she'd understand I was inspired by her).

She looked at me like I was an idiot, got into the hole, dug much deeper and wider, and she lay inside (though there was still enough of space for me).

Now I'm left to wander: did she try to educate me on how it's actually done, or did she just not understand my actions and thought "oh damn, I won't have to dig as much as usual"?
