Holy crap what a weekend. Family get together on Sat morning, then a b-day party for a magician friend Sat night. Sunday DG leagues (I got smacked in the elbow from an errant throw), then another party down south with the lady friends brother.

Today I got to work to find out we have a Senator coming by so I have to scramble to get some things ready by Friday. Hoo boy.

Got a ****ing “distracted driving” ticket while going like 15 mph and talking on the phone about urgent work matters. I wasn’t looking at the phone in any way. There is nothing on my driving record besides one speeding ticket when I was 17 and the ****ing dickhead cop literally went straight to a ticket for this.

...but luckily what that cop doesn’t know is that my primary client at work is the biggest law firm in my city and I am super tight with the lawyer that represents the police department here. He gave me a quick “make a copy of the citation and put it on my desk” when I showed him. So maybe I’ll get out of it with a warning still.

One of the qualifications for being a mod is that you can't have any 'distracted driving' tickets, so you better grease some palms.

Well if the attorney gets me off the hook then I’ll still be qualified, I will be sure to mention to him that this is doubly important because my MusicBanter mod chances are at stake
