I'm so exhausted but I have to act like I'm on top of my game.

Every. Day.

I rubbed lidocaine on my scrotum. The entire lower half of my body is numb.

Since I'm at work, and after reading... yeah.

FETCHER. 01-08-2015 11:17 AM

So I started a new job on Monday, everything is going great. Absolutely love the place so far I just hope that it keeps up but I've been having loads of crazy dreams where I feel as if I'm absolutely wasted and cannot stand up, it's really spinny and uncomfortable quite like the feeling of smoking weed when you're wasted, that's the only thing that's not going so great at the moment because I'm struggling to get a good sleep most nights.

Also this really weird thing happened at work... So I was sitting with my 6 other new starts in the training room and we were doing introductions, getting to know each other, just the usual new start rubbish you do and the guy sitting next to me says his name, where he's from and random things about him and I suddenly realised that I knew him from when I was like 15yrs old and posting on a local music forum. It was definitely him because I recognised him. I don't know if he recognises me but I've not said anything and I likely won't because it was from such a long time ago but it's so ****ing crazy, that forum and my friends from it were such a massive part of my life back then, I didn't have that much access to my friends at weekends and such because I live so far out in to the country. That meant I spent a ****load of time on that forum posting. It's nuts, actually nuts.

Some super wealthy couple got married on the golden gate bridge last week. Shut it down for a weekend and literally thousands were inconvinienced and had to take an extra hour to commute. The couple came down to where I work about an hour ago for lynch and wre followed by a news crew. Really wish I could've spoken out on it oncamera.... pretty livid by how entitled people are. Fel like the whole thing encapsulates what's going on in my city. People who don't respect or appreciate what were about coming in, ****ing up peoples ****, and smirking about it. Can't stop hearing Sham 69's Hey Little Rich Boy

Any links on this? Wouldn't think that would be legal.

Seriously though, defecation goes so perfectly with a book and a cigarette.

That's what my laptop is for. Remember that, kids. If we're conversing, I'm usually either naked or taking a ****.

Not yet. They're shutting down next weekend too but for construction and stuff. I actually didn't know they were closed last weekend until today and there's no information about it anywhere. I think they were trying to keep it on the DL. All I know is you've gotta be one hell of a ****ing ******* to mess with that many people like that just so you can married at an SF landmark. People get hitched at the Eifel Tower, I'm sure. They don't have the whole damn place shut down just so they can feel special though.

They didn't even just shut down one side and bottle neck through the other?

GuD 01-08-2015 06:54 PM

The whole thing, from what I've been told. I was working at the time and didn't catch the whole story but that's what I heard. People came in and explained what was going on because the whole staff was confused.

You should have told them that you couldn't serve them because Jay-Z and Beyonce had reserved the entire restaurant to have their second child in.

GuD 01-08-2015 07:10 PM

That would've been pretty damn funny. It's crazy to see how completely oblivious and sheltered people like that are. They just live in this impenetrable, fortified bubble of self. I guess it must be pretty ****ing great for them, it's just a weird thing to interact with.

Yeah, I gotta say, I'd much rather be able to rent the Golden Gate Bridge than be down to earth and not a douchebag.

Wait? What? I was under the impression that you are a douchebag. At least that's what the welcome memo I got when I joined the place said.

I'd at least hesitate at being THAT big of a dick. Unless of course it was specifically for the purpose of being a douchebag.

Just registered for classes at the local community college to finally get my high school diploma. Celebrating with pizza and a twelve pack of Guinness. Like a boss.

Chula Vista 01-09-2015 12:32 PM

Could never drink a heavy beer with pizza. Actually, with any food. I like wimpy beer with food and then the heavy beers while just sitting around.

Carpe Mortem 01-09-2015 04:06 PM

Got a raise, bout to do job number two then have cider with this girl because she doesn't drink beer and I really shouldn't be allowed to drink liquor. Every time we hang out she has a mixed drink or two, I polish off all the liquor that's left, then prank call everyone we know between puking bouts. Cider is a happy medium.

Drinking the same thing as who I'm hang in with is important to me.

All drink/food combos are not equal, but beer + greasy food is still a killer combo no matter what. Some Yuengling or PBR might have made more sense, but I wanted some ****ing Guinness as I've not had it in years, and I wanted pizza. It is what it is.

This is true. In a perfect world I'd prefer to be able to drink what I want to drink while the other party(ies) had whatever they want, but there is certainly something to be said for the communal experience of downing Jager bombs as a group. It's a bonding experience.

Carpe Mortem 01-09-2015 04:31 PM

Different kinds of drunk fa sho

The Batlord 01-09-2015 04:37 PM

More like the euphoria of a party experience, even if you're just hangin' with a few buds.

Carpe Mortem 01-09-2015 04:55 PM

I like the beer and weed thing with very few people.

Pet_Sounds 01-09-2015 05:20 PM

Pretty good day. I was snowed in all morning, but hung out with my best bud of 10+ years in the afternoon. Just playing baseball in my basement and spinning records.

It's weird. Getting totally ****faced with all kinds of people is fine, but to get lowkey messed up in a "We're chillin' and just enjoying each other's company" kind of way is an intimate experience only to be enjoyed with close buds.

Old man/young person with delusions of grandeur rant: school buddies are great, but when you've been friends with someone that long from such a young, young age, it's for life. Never throw that away or let it fade away. Latch onto that person. He'll be an important part of your life forever if you're not stupid enough to just let it naturally fade away the way more casual friendships tend to.

Josef K 01-09-2015 06:11 PM

Big debate tournament tomorrow. If any of you guys would be willing to help me out by reading over my cases (since most judges won't have any debate experience), could you PM me or something?

I have no intention of letting it slip, I assure you. The best thing about having a friend like that is that you don't have to do anything special--you can just yak for hours.

My band was interviewed this week for a feature article in a local bay area paper showcasing "rising local bands," and next week will be appearing on a local tv station. Movin' on up.
