Kamala Harris said they saved “countless” lives. Countless because the number is zero, perhaps? Because my brother’s death is ****ing pointless?

I’m so angry. I’m so sick.
I don’t know what to do.

I just saw the names and pictures of those service members today when I checked the news this morning. I can't imagine the depth of your grief at this time. I've lost a lot of friends to various things over many years but the death of a sibling seems much more profound. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

It's cute how my dad painted it. Like Rylee was some ****ing patriot. As if he himself didn't fail the psychological screening component of basic training and has been trying to compensate for it through a victim complex and romantic cowboy poetry ever since. As if he didn't push Rylee toward the Marines for the sheer badassery since childhood.

Anyway my brother made the NYT. Neat. I guess his death really did mean something.

**** America and **** the person who recruited him. Heartbreaking. Even from the photo in the article I feel like I can see some resemblance to you. Still so young, poor Rylee.

My Ry Guy does bear a strong resemblance to me, especially before he leaned up and still had his sweet chubby baby face. It’s the dimples and the big brown eyes.

A little off topic but I'm checking out a condo tomorrow. 239k for 2 bed/2 bath. Wash/dryer in the unit, plus secure mailboxes and secure parking. HOA is 400$/mo. Covers garbage, sewer, and something else i can't remember. Right down the hill from my work.
