Is a wrist ban some kind of avant-garde guitar playing technique?

Watched Thumbscrew live tonight - celebrating Mary Halvorson’s 40th birthday today. She’s my newest incredible (for the past few years) ...and Pharoah Sanders and Azar Lawrence the other night were on fire as well. I could get used to this: sitting back and watching on a 65” screen while in my PJs - donating money later if it’s a freebie.

Also, my sweetie has become completely engrossed in the Murderbot Diaries
which, is better than doomscrolling, I suppose.

after decades of avoiding TVs, so I could actually create

Oh I thought it was something like those Lance Armstrong's "Livestrong" yellow wristbands.

Thanks for providing a close up of the rubber band. The first picture was not large enough & the print came out blurry. I was under the impression they mispelled Paul McCartney's name. Here it turns out to be "Paul McCarthy."

I'm sure the label just thru everything together for a photo shoot just to get as
much in without a whole lot of detail about anything. There's even a spot on the
red-labeled LP that I just want to wipe away.

Paul McCarthy is a well-known
artist from LA and his daughter, Mara, owns "The Box" gallery where the pieces
were performed. The heavy band is just a creative extra to use around the LP set.

The Bang-On-A-Can Marathon starts soon with 6+ hours of performances.
Good time to get back into the re-issued "Desert Plants" book as well.
This second edition has a disc with nearly 14 hours of audio interviews,
so that's a nice extra to have. The back of the book features some quotes.
