He's been reading too much Tolkien lately, that's the problem. He's memorizing all these highfalutin words.

I'm very familiar with and often impressed by various leftist analyses (and some right wing ones too). But between that and adopting the identity of a "leftist" there's a yawning chasm, which I don't remember crossing.

Batty's a great writer. Don't underestimate him.

FYI, for those who care, I don't watch CNN. I watched it during the run-up to the election, through it and into the insurrection, but only because it was the only US News channel we can get. My news normally comes from our own national TV station, RTE, also BBC and SKY. Oh, and goes without saying I slavishly watch the most trusted name in news, Kermit the Frog's Muppet News.
