Hold on... there, can you see it peeking out over the horizon?

^ Taking this to heart to give my usual lopsided thanks to the posters whose company I have enjoyed here.

Best Avatar: what I like about misspoptart´s avatars is the way they stand for who she is; she never posts a photo, so she slowly becomes a little cartoon girl - in my head at any rate.
Sexiest Member (female): Even if they haven´t been on the boards much, they are still here in my heart; as last year, Vanilla, Roxy and Burning Down
Biggest Fanboy of the Year: Good-natured derision doesn´t dent Frownland´s enthusiastic mention of Beefheart and Zorn at every turn. That´s loyalty.
Best Writer: last year I nominated Janszoon and Trollheart and I haven´t noticed anything to change that opinion.
Nicest member: Pet_Sounds is very friendly, and mature for his age. Chula Vista, who is happy to chat with anybody about anything and likes to share his personal experience with us. Also, DwnWthVwls is always courteous and supports the A Capella thread. Thanks!
Angriest Member: JWB was constantly embroiled in arguments. As someone who usually avoids confrontation, I quite admired him for that.
Best Site Contributor: Trollheart, of course.
Best Taste in Music: Whatever corner of music I think I´m discovering, Grindy has already been there - and beyond.
Most Improved Member: Mr.Charlie left MB for a while, but has come back with renewed enthusiasm. He does a good job of keeping the World forum alive, and has opened a couple of interesting threads of his own.
Most Underrated Poster: Anteater posts so rarely, it´s easy to miss how knowledgeable he is. Psy-Fi contributes to a lot of the music threads calmly and on-topic, so he goes under-appreciated. Until we have an award for Most Enigmatic Member, I´ll put Neapolitan here. Across the years he has steadily voiced his opinion on MB and yet avoids being predictable
Best Thread Starter: Trollheart logs up another year of being both creative and enthusiastic.
Most Missed Poster: I know it´s been ages, but I still miss Pedestrian who used to be so active here and Vanilla who was so nice to me.Freebase doesn´t seem to post any more either
Thread of the Year: That long-running debate about "What is music?" was wonderful. Congrats to all involved for treating the question with such passion.
Moderator of the Year: I feel that the new mods are still finding their feet, so I´d like to salute the acheivements of two ex mods: Janszoon and Urban
Journal of the Year: Unknown Soldier´s Hard and Heavy is one of the few journals that I´ve dipped into.
New Journal of the Year 2015: I´ve read Mondo Bungle´s record of his travels with great interest. AFAIK, his saga has no equal on MB.
Best New Member 2015: Aux-In has settled in so discreetly that he could also go in the underrated section. Satre joined us with enthusiasm at the beginning of the year, but seems to have left us already. I hope Ashwell John stays here longer. What I like about both guys is that they bring a refreshing innocence to the jaded mindset that is often common here.
Member of the Year 2015: Motivated by good intentions, tore stirred up a huge controversy which made most of us examine our motives for being here. Well, he aways has been MB´s philosopher.
Biggest Lounge Lizard: Batlord and Roxy Rollah are the masters of rapid-fire ping-pong dialogues. Extra points to Roxy because she seems to be in touch with several exmembers as well.
Virtuoso of the Year: I explore so little of member´s music, but I really like Plankton´s and Xurtio´s. Also for the first time, I dipped into VEGANGELICA´s extensive collection of songs and was pleasantly surprised.
Lifetime Achievement Award: I´ll second the noms of Plankton, for his extraordinary real life achievements, and Urban for his contribution to MB.

Spelling Mistake of the year: By copying and pasting, bob is taking Ki´s Vitruoso out for another spin! I don´t know if it was this year, intentional or otherwise, but whoever came up with Urban Hatmonger made me laugh.

Finally, many thanks to anyone who has nominated me.

I'm pretty sure that was Urban himself.

He will always be Briks, because Isbjorn is awful. I will only recognize the change when he becomes Norway Jose.
