A man convicted of three California murders and suspected in numerous other deaths — including three in Louisiana — now claims he was involved in about 90 killings nationwide spanning nearly four decades, and investigators already have corroborated about a third of those, a Texas prosecutor said Thursday.

The Louisiana killings were in Opelousas, Houma and Gray.

In Texas, Ector County District Attorney Bobby Bland said 78-year-old Samuel Little was booked into jail this week following his indictment in the 1994 death of a Texas woman. Little has provided details in more than 90 deaths dating to about 1970, Bland said.

A Texas prosecutor said Friday that investigators have linked more than 60 killings in at least 14 states to a 79-year-old California inmate who may be the most prolific serial killer in U.S. history.

Ector County District Attorney Bobby Bland said Samuel Little continues to cooperate with investigators from around the country who interrogate him in prison about cold case killings dating back to the 1970s.

Little was convicted of killing three Los Angeles-area women and pleaded guilty to killing a Texas woman, and he’s serving life sentences in California. Little, who lived a nomadic lifestyle

Niels Hoegel liked to bring about cardiac arrests in his patients by injecting them with overdoses of heart medication and other drugs because he enjoyed the feeling of being able to resuscitate them. Sometimes he succeeded in bringing them back, but in at least 87 cases they died, making him what is believed to be modern Germany's most prolific serial killer.
The actual number might be as high as 200. He really put the “Niels” in the coffins

Got any stories about hometown murders or anecdotal connections to killers? Or even better, any death bed confessions in your lineage?

The Batlord 06-07-2019 05:15 PM

I know about one unsolved in my area.
