I used to like watching Rick Bayless's show "Mexico: One Plate at a Time", and Charlie Trotter's "The Kitchen Sessions".
...and Emeril. I've made many, many Emeril dishes with the daughter when she was a little one. Then there's the Jeff Smith (Frugal Gourmet), Justin Wilson (Louisiana Cookin'), Jacques Pépin (Heart and Soul), and of course Julia Childs shows I'd always catch on PBS. Those were the chefs who blazed the trail for people like Bobby Flay, and all those other celebrity chefs. Guy Fieri's a poser.
