Bruh, you're a good dude and I'm hard both to read and to like. It happens and often I still deserve it.

I'm not determined to be miserable. It's more of a I am working my hardest and I'm not happy. My dad said that if I was getting laid I'd be a hell of a lot happier. Maybe there's some truth to it. I don't know.

Actually I was told that I shouldn't drink. I have way too much of an addictive personality.

You're not hard to like. I'd think there are few indeed here who don't like you. You're also a good dude, and I'm sorry for your situation.

Addictive personalities have the best drinking binges.

There's literally no difference in output other than the difference in classification and philosophy.

What does "democratic workplace" mean in your estimation? Self-employment is romanticized. There is a mountain of red tape and paperwork that you need to file, not to mention business insurance and all the zoning and regulatory laws. And all that stuff takes money to manage and lawyers and all of that jazz. Working for a corporation is what it is.

If you want to paint a painting, you need the energy to do it. I can write a witty quip when necessary, but I find writing to be an enormous pain in the ass. So everything just depends on how you want to classify your output and what your energy level (give a ****/work ethic) is toward managing your sichiation.

You're reading self-employment in a very capitalist sense (and I'd agree it is overrated in Capitalism)

Democratic workplaces exist on a minor scale atm actually called Worker Co-ops

Simple as having the workers own the factory and take place in the decision making process cooperatively

Idk I'm not trying to derail here
Worker Co-Ops still work and exist very well within Capitalism. It creates a liveable wage for its workers while they operate a small business. All workers get a share of the profits but they also share the losses if they don't do well.
