I thought bacon was just bacon? You cut it off the same part of the pig no matter what country we're talking about. Denmark is known for it's bacon exports, but I'm not sure it's any better than American bacon.

Back bacon is from the back.

American bacon is the streaky stuff, think it's from the belly.

Their bacon is fattier, ours has more meat.

I like both.

Guess I learned something new today!

Couldn't one just fry the American bacon a bit longer to get more of the fat out, or do I just demonstrate how little I understand cooking?
