Well you should come to the city and check it out. Come in the winter so you really see all the piss and shit dogs coat the sidewalks with.

You've lived in Boston and Philadelphia right? Those are two old cities with compact city centers built before the age of automobiles, so I'm still assuming that's a big reason why people would take their dogs everywhere like that. I imagine Europe might be the same.

I don't know. Those aren't the only two places I've lived where I've seen it. And the dog in the baby bjorn was in suburban New Jersey.

It definitely does happen in Europe too. I was in a bar in Madrid earlier this year that had a little dog running around in it. He took a shit on the floor right in front of my table.
