Yeah man the pilot was engaging

I like the way that female character was so nonchalant in the face of danger but then finally felt something for the boy’s well-being. I thought that was a clever way to build drama in a setting that was apocalyptic to begin with.

If I sound stupid just remember this kind of speed plot anime stuff is something I have no practice with. I grew up on The Smurfs

I initially thought that the show was really cool with its abstract nature and artwork, but felt like the various philosophical and religious symbolism was slapped on. Going back in knowing the story better, paying more attention, and connecting some of the dots made me realize how well connected it all is and how strong the world building is.

Spoiler for Episode 3:
I thought that the similarities between the opening of this episode and the depiction of Jesus below were striking. The receptors on his head also look like horns, so it seems like there's a clash between Jebus and demonic/antichrist symbolism that I think portrays Shinji's internal struggle surrounding his role in the battle.

Just one shot out of so many things to dissect in the show. I'm writing down all of the numbers as I see them, thinking they might correspond to bible verses or some ****.

So you're a Lupe Fiasco, Billy Woods kinda nerd. Well, you do love Billy Woods.

Or Aesop Rock.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

Stuff like House of Leaves and Evangelion make me feel more along the lines of A Beautiful Mind kinda nerd. With woods at least I'm doing most of the math in my head based on how I interact with music compared to other media.

At it's best Death Note was overrated but at it's worst it was a vapid try hard bore fest aimed at emo scene kids that love Bring Me The Horizon.

Never seen the anime but I used to really like the manga. It's edgy as **** but also a lot of fun and Light Yagami is charmingly despicable.
