Renting is better than ownership if you want to live anywhere desirable unless it's a farm in the mountains or some ****. Equity is a distraction from what is not owned and entraps homeowners in the mortgage industry.

I don't disagree, but how would the middle-class build wealth? Sadly, this is how 80% of the US does this.

Yeah, I think this is probably right. Not sure if you're a US-based poster, but the lack of Unionization in this country is embarassing.
