Marion Brown Quartet: Why Not?

Rashied Ali drums. Fans of Coltrane’s modal era should love this insanely under appreciated masterpiece. A little sumptumsumptum for those who like the freestyle spice as well.

1967: Marion Brown Quartet (ESP/Fontana)

Here’s where I post a picture and recommend the record. Those of you who know who you are - fans of other recording that involve Rashied Ali - this is full on unassailable ****

put it on your list and get around to it when you can

it’s as good as other records that are far more recognized

This’ll probably get taken down before long

OccultHawk 09-15-2018 04:48 PM

This is insanely under appreciated

This is top tier late 60’s free jazz as deserves far more recognition
