I'd like to here more about the first Sandra tbh.

Marie Monday 06-15-2020 11:45 AM

So do I. Are new Sandras even being born, or are they a dying breed like Karens?

Plankton 06-15-2020 11:52 AM

Interesting. It might be more realistic to research ways to get around these barriers using imaging based on surroundings and lighting to eliminate shadows or other alternatives than true invisibility to achieve the invisibility cloak angle. This angle seems like a great way to hide atrocities in remote areas, unfortunately.

I'll go tell the scientists who surely haven't considered this yet.

Don't know how many ways they've looked at this - and I'm sure there are
some academic papers that might be interesting if you can get past the jargon,
but, most of all, I'm intrigued that they have even gotten this far into studying this.
Also, I would think the computer power would have to be massively larger than would
be practical to do what you're suggesting. Doesn't mean that it can't be done someday tho.

Washing something with hot, soapy water does not sanitize it.

BassoonPlatoon 11-30-2020 05:21 PM

It helps get your dishes cleaner, but it does not kill bacteria.

The Batlord 11-30-2020 05:25 PM

That's why I put penicillin in all my dishwasher loads.

On average, people use 8 or 9 sheets of toilet paper every time they use the bathroom.

The Batlord 12-02-2020 01:45 PM

Then on average people must have some ****ty *******s.

That cup that I grabbed and picked up real quick off the top of the microwave wasn't empty. My face and shirt learned that the hard way.

Today (this week) I learned how amazing it is to own a game console. My ladyfriend bought me an XBox one as a Christmas gift (we exchanged gifts early this year). Last console I had was xbox 360 which I rarely played. before that was PS2.

You can train a quail the same way you would train a dog.

5- to 9-year-old children chose to save multiple dogs over 1 human ...

... and valued the life of a dog as much as a human.
By contrast, almost all adults chose to save 1 human over even 100 dogs.
The view that humans are morally more important than animals
appears later and may be socially acquired.

The PlayStation was originally an SNES add-on.

The Batlord 12-26-2020 09:54 AM

And then the SEGA CD failed and Nintendo went with probably the smart decision and scrapped it even if the Playstation going down as a failed Nintendoo add on would be better for them in the long run.

BassoonPlatoon 12-29-2020 08:14 PM

Also, if I'm reading this correctly, the original was called the Sony Playstation and then they called the console released on 07/07/2000 the PS1.
