DwnWthVwls cares about my well being and future....
![]() probably wont make as much money as you big dog , if you're doing some CAD related job.. ![]() CNC programmers learn G-code, really easy stuff to tell a machine what to do. ill take MasterCAM 1&2 but my professor said most people dont get hired to just do masterCAM stuff at first. the companies want to make sure you can do the basics first like manual machines or CNC machines.to be honest also, ive only be at the school for the year, dont know everything. |

![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGDjMvbrj40 thats what I did last night and broke a machining edging piece :/ it broke off and stuck into my wrist bleeding along my arm. cant wait until we get to the CNC machine and let the computer do the work. trying to manually cut off .005 or .010 from a block and get it to certain size.. is difficult if you only touched the machine that does it for about 3 hours total lol. i got some extra help understanding what "squaring the block" meant

TIL that my counterpart in our US location gets 10 days paid vacation.
And I'm sure he's among the luckier ones. I get 30. 24 is the legal minimum in Germany. The US are a ****ing ****hole.

I think the average German worker is actually more productive over the course of a year.
At my last job it seemed like everyone was too stupid to understand that complete exhaustion erodes productivity. America seems intent on remaining oblivious to the significance of rest and nutrition. As crazy as this sounds, I think most Americans are in denial about the biological nature of biology. It’s a residual effect of religion I think. Along the same lines, school kids eat processed junk food constantly and never exercise and everybody wonders why they act like starving chimpanzees in class. Instead of nourishing children as the biological creatures they are they pretend they’re godlike spirit creatures that live on adhd drugs. I should still be able to navigate this society much better than I do but it definitely makes you an outsider if you’re even remotely rational in the United States. My ability to function here isn’t very impressive but damn it’s hard to force idiocy unto yourself. |

North Texas is basically a paradise compared to rest of the U.S. Least as far as education, job opportunities, overall stability, etc. go.
