That is dumb. You gave a dumb answer and you know it.

Idk, the ability to sustain life is pretty special, life forms or nil.

And we haven’t found any planets outside our galaxy. We don’t even have anything close to that kind of technology. We’ve found planets outside of our particular solar system but definitely within the Milky Way. It’s a reasonable assumption that the stars in other galaxies repeat the same pattern but we haven’t proven that yet.

It’s dumb to say having life is a special characteristic? There’s no evidence of life anywhere else in the universe.

Yeah, it's dumb to say that our lack of evidence is proof that we are unique when you know we have no way to know yet.

It’s a good thing I didn’t say that then.

Here’s what I am saying: We’ve observed life on earth. We haven’t observed life anywhere else. I’m not making any further extrapolations.

I’ve expressed my opinions about the likelihood of extraterrestrial life in other discussions. Run Drake Equation and Fermi Paradox through the search engine if you want to read up on it.

There's circumstantial evidence that supports the idea that we've been visited at some point by extraterrestrials, but it's also just as likely that we're like the 3rd or 4th civilization to be born on this planet and there's just no trace left of prior supercivilizations. Wiped off the map to the point where there's nothing left to carbon date.

Please extrapolate on this about Atlantis or whatever.

Well, it has been suggested from more than a few scientists that the massive temperature increases around 56 million years ago, when we entered the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum, were driven by massive CO2 output from some pre-human advanced civilization that there is currently no traces left of. So not Atlantis exactly, but still interesting.

Please extrapolate further.
