Elon Musk is going to help us overpopulate Jupiter.

Actually almost every inch of arable land is being used for agriculture. Are you advocating for more urban sprawl or do we need to cram a few more million in places like Seattle? How many more Chicagos can we support?

Lol the Mid Cities region (Ft. Worth, Dallas and the surrounding cities) is huge. Westlake and Southlake even by themselves are two of the wealthiest areas in the state besides Austin. Not to mention Denton, Frisco and other places that are rapidly expanding.

None of it is wild. 100% of it being used to perpetuate human activity. Any organism that tries to exist in north Texas that competes with crops and livestock is exterminated by HUMANS.

Your arguments about “nothing in every direction” sound a lot like the **** the religious right says. That by itself doesn’t make you wrong but your commonality with the religious right is that you deny this truth because it threatens your ideology. Within the borders in the continental United States there’s almost no land that it isn’t being exploited by humanity. If you think north Texas has an abundance of nothingness set up a tent and see how long it takes for a farmer to call the police on your ass.

You can drive from the panhandle to Miami back up to Jacksonville and it’s urban/suburban sprawl the entire way. Just that alone is an incredible ecological calamity. But wtf do people say? Oh there’s space in Oklahoma and Nebraska. I mean ffs. It’s hopeless.

I respect the republicans in north Texas more than property owners in the Bay Area because in actual practice they’re less exclusionary. The Republicans around here may be misguided but they’re not part of an oligarchical ruling class that actively limits my mobility. The Bay Area is prohibitively expensive. That’s real tangible oppression not just a philosophy.

Opera is the Big K.R.I.T. of the 1800s.

Nah I'm not really into opera either but give it a chance, you might be surprised. The few that I'm familiar with I really enjoy.
