Most of us enjoy learning some details about each other's real life, but I think it's important to be discreet. For example, a line or two, dropped off-topic into a thread, will probably be picked up by those who are interested, but forgotten before long by MB in general. I certainly wouldn't recommend pics of family members or threads dedicated to same.

^ That's a nice metaphor, Chula! I consider MB a friendly place, but in terms of personal info, I treat it like a biker bar in Tijuana: once out of my wallet that family photo can be passed around, out of my control, so I wouldn't put myself in that position of vulnerability.

Anyway, I hope you pick up on some of the well-intentioned advice in this thread, Chula, and if you have any doubts when posting something, you might like to consider this:-

Think of the scariest, weirdest member of MB who has ever been banned: that person, and a million like them could be just one click away from lurking over your next post, so think before you Submit Reply.

Can you honestly answer any of these questions:
- what's my favorite colour?
- who's my favorite artist or band?
- do I prefer jeans or khakis?
- what brand sneakers do I wear?
- what's my favorite cereal?
- Is English even my first language?

See. Get the picture?
