One of my other main past times is Gardening, once I pass the magic 15 I will add some photos of my/our work we have done here in the last 6 years. An acre of land and was once part of a farm, that was yonks ago and pretty much left to overgrow with brambles and weeds and junk like you would not believe...

If that's your property, I am SUPER jealous. Amazing.

I was just thinking the same thing. Your gardens and property are absolutely lovely, Dianne. All your efforts have paid off beautifully.

Right now having just humped another stere of wood into the barn, we just towed back from our favourite Woodman...put the back support belt on but now sitting hear thinking log fires are not all a bed or roses..pun..yeah of course..cheers for the compliments .. but anybody can turn a field into something else if you got the interest..lets face it we came here for this lifestyle and their is not much else going on..Cant just take yourself of to a gig like the UK ,so do miss the good concerts but that's all I can think that I miss. keeps you fit though overall. I am the digger around here, always like doing that..mad, probably...

we get these birds here any time they will arrive in our Garden and feed off insects as they go nibbling in the grass a lot usually in pairs and then after a few weeks of enjoying there presence they take off and nest somewhere do not know where but we have lots of woods right next to us so they could be nesting in there, we would know if they were in one of our trees.. ...Hoopoe's the are called, they have a distinctive call....hoopee noises lol..

No need to feel that because basically it is a choices. Property is cheap rural and ok the cost of living is dearer than the UK..but if you can live on bread veggies and vins your laughing..... never make the mistake of buying more land than you can handle....we just purchased the land adjoining just a third of an acre but heard rightly that it had planning permission to build on it. So was a quick panic as the last thing we wish is more buildings near us..and you never know what might be built...15,000 Euros, bargain,i t is rough farmland at this time...

Grass has more weeds in than grass but at least it is green...expect when the weeds flower then it's like a medow...

Hi again Dianne next step in your forum education, how to post images which don't come out as links. Simple. Click on the little yellow button that looks like a small image of a mountain and a sun, copy your image url in the box and bob's your uncle!

Also those a-holes at photobucket don't want to host our images anymore without getting paid, choose something else to upload your photos, like https://imgbb.com/
